Ejury Review: Make Money Being a Juror.

Everyone enjoys making money online. With the freedom, flexibility, and convenience, online money making opportunities are the rage these days. People often find that in their busy schedules, they are looking for a way to get a secondary income. Something that can earn a little cash with on the weekends, when they get off their job, or whenever they have free time. Because of this, we have taken the liberty to review dozens of sites that can earn you cash from home. If you are looking for a traditional way, check out some of our reviews on survey sites, like Swagbucks and Clear Voice Surveys. However, here I have stumbled upon a truly unique way to earn some money from home. Instead of taking surveys online, at eJury, you can be a juror right from home! Although people loathe getting Jury summons, eJury takes away the pain of having to sit in a courthouse all day wondering if you will be called to be on a Jury.

What Is eJury?

Founded by two Lawyers from the Texas area, eJury takes your "civic duty" and puts it online. Users can sign up to be jurors for online mock trials conducted by real attorneys. They started this website to give trial lawyers access to mock jurys and focus groups online. It is a great resource because to get practice, Lawyers would have to set up physical mock trials and groups, which would end up costing them a fortune. Instead, Christopher L. Bagly, one of the founders of eJury, noticed the power the internet had in connecting people. He developed eJury to connect Lawyers to hundreds of eager people looking to participate in online mock trials. On top of that, he figured, "why not pay them?" Of course, the pay is not as competitive as if you went to a physical mock trial, it is still good pay for doing something online.

How Can I Join?

Joining is quick and easy on eJury. To sign up, you just have to meet their qualification. These qualifications are: be 18 years of age, live within the US, not be convicted of a felony, or under trial for another case, and not be part of a law firm. If you are qualified to join, once you sign up, you will receive a email to verify your account. After that, its just a waiting game. Depending on your location, you will receive cases to take part in. Disclaimer: bigger metropolitan areas see more cases than smaller towns.

How Does eJury Work?

eJury works by sending out cases to their members, having jurors answer questions and give feedback, and in the end, have the attorney render a decision. There is a three step process to how eJury works.

Step 1: The attorney provides a case to a number of members (usually 50). The case submission will have in it the facts of the case, jury questions that will be asked, and personal questions to get more feedback.

Step 2: eJury will convert all these files to a easy to read html document. They do this because cases can be large and hard to understand to a non-attorney in their original form. They then post this to the website, where jurors in that area can have access to it.

Step 3: Users then log-in to the site, read over the case, and submit a verdict. Along with a verdict, they submit notes about the case, as well as answer any questions the attorney asks.

Step 4: After the total number of verdicts have been filed, the attorney will look over everything, and eventually render a verdict. The verdict will be available on the site for jurors to see the results of their case.

How Do I Get Paid?

Get Paid via PayPal

Payment for being a juror is made through Pay-Pal. This is a preferred payment for users looking to make money from home because it is tangible cash, in the sense that they can transfer it to their bank and use it on anything. Payment for each case differs between them, but eJury will have the amount on the top of the case file. Usually cases range from $5-$10, although there have been cases that have paid up to $30.. Payment depends on how long the case will take to be read and answered. Generally, each case will only take about 30 minutes to complete. This is great because the whole point of online Jurys is to get away from having to sit down for hours in a courthouse.

Pros

  • Easy to sign up
  • Good Pay
  • Interesting way to make money
  • Great for people that enjoy courtroom drama, and reading about cases

Cons

  • Cases are infrequent in some areas
  • May take longer than you want to spend on a computer

Is It Safe?

Yes. You will never have to worry about your information or answers being leaked online. For one, it is all confidential. Your answers are anonymous, as well as the attorney conducting the mock trial. In addition to that, these are mock trials. You are not giving answers or verdict to real cases, therefore your answers will do no harm.

Should I Join eJury?

eJury set out to connect attorneys to people online to help review cases, conduct research, and practice mock trials. They successfully have done this, and it's one of the first of it's kind. Not only do they pay you to take part in a mock trial, these trials can be exciting to be a juror in. I know some people dream of being chosen for a trial on their Jury day, so here they can be part of one from home! It is a cool opportunity to make a quick couple of bucks.

However, the biggest downside to the site is how many cases there are. Due to the fact that they do not have the biggest pull online, cases come in at a infrequent pace. This means that some users have taken part in 5 cases within a month, but others haven't seen one in months. Because of this, eJury should not be a site that you rely on for a secondary income.

However, that shouldn't deter you from making money with them. It still is a great way to make a couple extra bucks. Just know that you will not be flooded with cases once you sign up. Other Ways To Earn

Since Ejury is such a unique way to earn money online, we will stay on that topic. Our blog features reviews on more than 50 unique money making opportunities. One of these unique sites is Product Testing USA. On their site, you get paid to test products from home, film yourself and take pictures of the product, and answer questions. On top of that, you get to keep the Product! Your answers hold much more depth than traditional survey sites because you are physically using the product, and companies like to see the reactions and opinions of their consumers.

In addition that, Mindswarms is a site that is similar, where you join a video community and answer questions via webcam. They have a strong following, and assure their members that they will receive offers to try out products, and film their responses. Other ways that we have looked at are cash-back websites like Ebates and Mr. Rebate, and Multi Level Marketing companies like Kyani. So, without further ado, take a look around, find the best site for you, and see how much money you can make from home.
