MySoapBox Review: Is it Worth My Time?

Survey sites are a dime for a dozen. Some top sites, in our opinion, are Swagbucks and MySurvey. These are two of our favorites, and they happen to be the most popular. Everyday more and more people are discovering that survey sites are a viable way to make seem extra cash from home. They are popping up everywhere on the internet, offering new ways to earn money, and how to turn your time into cash. However, many do not offer the chance to donate to charities. That is one way that MySoapBox differs from other survey sites. Along with donating money to charities, if you so choose to, you can also earn cash and rewards. MySoapBox is a online research company that does surveys for products, services, and experiences. They are part of the ISA, Interviewing Services of America, which manages and collects data. If you are looking to make money online doing surveys, and possibly giving some money back to charities, take a look at this site, and what is has to offer you.

Can I Trust MySoapBox

Absolutely. What little information they request from you to register all stays within the site and does not get disseminated to other sites and browser. No one likes spam, and MySoapBox specifically states that they will not share their information with spammers. Because, like you, they do not enjoy mass emails that clutter up your inbox and spam folder.

How Can I Join?

Joining is quick, easy, and painless. All you have to do to join is be over the age of 13, and sign up on their site here. The sign up just asks for your name, gender, age and email. Easy, right?

What do I do after I sign up?

After you sign up you can start taking surveys for various products, services, and experiences right away. Not only do they have surveys you can partake in, but they also have what they call "Survey Roulette." This allows users to access surveys across different providers, through their site, and automatically get a 1000 point reward. A user can do this multiple times a day, taking different surveys each time.

How Do I Get Paid?

Although you technically are getting paid, it is not cash, unlike other sites which offer Pay-Pal transfers of money and credit like InboxPays and PanelPlace. Instead, users get points that can be redeemed for gift cards to online and physical stores like Amazon, Starbucks, Walmart, and more! Monetary wise, 1000 points is equal to about $1. Survey points range from 1000 points being the lowest, to upwards of 5,000 points.

Also like other sites, there is a minimum cash-out value for points. On MySoapBox, the minimum redeemable amount of points is 25,000 ($25). Although this is high, depending on the amount of surveys you take and how much each one is, this goal can be reached pretty easily.

Are There Any Qualification for Taking Surveys?

Yes. Like other survey sites, there are certain qualification for surveys. These may be, but are not limited to; age, region, status. Again, all of the information stored in the site is private, so a user should not be afraid to enter information. Additionally, putting this information in will help you get surveys that you are qualified for.

On the other hand, if you are not qualified for a survey, you still get a little something in return. Although you may not get the amount of points you would have if you took it, MySoapBox still gives you a penny for your time.

What Makes MySoapBox Unique?

MySoapBox-charitable-donations

Feeling Altruistic? MySoapBox partners with many different charities to help raise money, awareness, and support. Each month users can vote on which charities will receive money from the site. Due to users being rewarded with gift card and not cash, they can easily choose to use their rewards to donate to charity. This is unique because you can make a impact, no matter how small, on a charity through the site. Now, not only are you making some extra cash, but you also are helping out some charities.

Pros

  • Easy to sign up
  • Part of the ISA, so it is legit
  • Able to make multiple different surveys
  • Not a issue when it comes to cookies and blockers
  • Option to donate to charity

Cons

  • Potential low payout for certain surveys
  • Wont make cash doing this, just gift cards
  • Only one way to earn.

Should I use MySoapBox?

MySoapBox is a great site due to its simplicity, straightforward mission, and accessibility. If you are looking to take some surveys and donate the money to a cause, than this site is for you. Very little survey sites offer the opportunity to donate your reward money, like MySoapBox does.

With that said, if you are looking to make some dough taking surveys, this might not be the right recipe for you. There are no cash pay-out options, just gift cards for retail stores. Secondly, with the likeliness of you making enough to be able to really splurge at these stores being very low, odds of you making enough to want to make a trip to a Walmart to use that gift card is low. If you are looking at making more money and redeeming them for gift cards, take a peek at Swagbucks. Furthermore, if you want to browse more sites that get you paid straight from your desk, check out more of our reviews on survey sites like this.
