OnePoll Review: Is it a Legitimate Site?

Making money online is now a norm for many people. Since it is easy to access the internet, and many companies are already based online, the next logical step is for companies to start conducting surveys online. MySurvey does a great job with this, giving members surveys periodically to take for companies and products from all over the country. Not only does the US conduct these surveys, but companies all around the world send surveys to members of sites online. OnePoll is one of these companies that operate in both the US and UK, and give paid surveys to its members.

Background on OnePoll

What is unique about OnePoll is that they are a market research panel company that focuses on qualitative research instead of quantitative research. The differences between qualitative and quantitive is that qualitative is more about words, opinions, and image, whereas quantitive is more about crunching numbers. OnePoll seeks to discover the true opinions from their members on different companies, not just see how many time a week someone uses a product. Because of this, they can get a deeper understanding of people honest opinions on certain products.

Additionally, according to their website, OnePoll pioneered the PR survey. I have not come across another website that offers this type of survey. They are looking for information that will help improve the image of a company. In their PR page, they state that, "research findings are used to add depth to brand storytelling across traditional and digital media..." This is unique because it is one of the only sites that looks at the company as a whole, instead of its individual products and services.

How Can I Join?

Joining is easy on their website. There is a tab in the left hand corner for members to sign in or sign up. If you don't want to go look there, just click here to start registering for the website. To sign up you just have to input your name and email, and wait for them to email you for verification. After that, just like almost all of the other survey sites out there, you will have to answer a profile questionnaire. The reason OnePoll has you do this is so that they can send you surveys that you are applicable to take, when it comes to age, gender, location, etc.

Earning Money

OnePoll states on their website that you earn $5.00 just by signing up. However, this is not the case, this is what you can possibly earn if you sign up and are able to take a survey right away. Basic surveys on the site offer between .50 cents and $1. With that said, there are some surveys that can pay up to $5, but they take 15-20 minutes to complete. Of course the site will alert you of how much money you can make, and how long it will take you to make it, before you commit to the survey.

Getting Paid

Here's the section that is probably the most important. How do I turn my survey rewards into tangible cash? Well, heres your answer; you can cash out via Pay-Pal, just like other sites such as Swagbucks. Simple right? However, the catch is that you cannot cash out until you have $65 in your account. This is a downside to the website because for a site where surveys are usually $1, it can take a long time to reach that $65 minimum.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Many Surveys Can I Expect To Take?

Surveys come to your email randomly when you are applicable to take one. Typically members receive 5-10 surveys a month.

Why Would I Not Qualify For A Survey?

With a site like OnePoll, where they have enough members to fill surveys easily, companies like to be picky. They are paying for a service, therefore they want to get the most bang for their buck. If you do not fall into the demographic of what they want to survey, you will not be considered.

Can I Make Money Any Other Way Other That Taking Surveys?

Yes. OnePoll has a referrel program where you make a $1 for referring someone to the site. On top of that, each time one of your referrals make $20, you make $2.

Can I Leave When I Want?

Yes, you are not signed up for a certain amount of time. However, you will not be able to cash out until you reach $65. Therefore if you leave at $50, you get nothing.

How Much Money Can I Make?

There is no limit to how much you can earn on the site. Of course the site wants you to earn money, so you stick around and take more surveys. The better question for this one is; How Hard Is It To Make A lot Of Money? The answer? Very hard. With the very low pay-out, you may have to stick around longer than you would on other sites to make a good chunk of change.

OnePoll; Sink Or Swim?

OnePoll is a great survey that supplies companies with honest opinions of their company and products. However, if you are looking for a website to make money on, OnePoll is not that site. You will sink a lot of time into the site and not be able to get out with a lot of money. For one, even if you start making some good money taking surveys, it will only be a few bucks. Reaching that $65 minimum is very tough, and you can fall victim to making $25, $30, and not being able to cash out. More Opportunities

If you do choose to go with OnePoll, you may find yourself stuck in a rut where you end up taking more surveys than expected just to make some money. However, here at Surveyswonk, we have researched, found, and reviewed many other money making opportunities. In addition to a site like that, we have reviewed cash-back sites like Ebates and Mr.Rebate. These are two similar sites that offer cash-back for shopping online at popular stores.
